Tips/Info #67 Sharepoint 2010

$DatabeSize = Get-SPContentDatabase -WebApplication "http://Web_applicationURL"
$DatabeSize | Format-Table Name, @{Label="Size"; Expression={$_.DiskSizeRequired / 1073741824}}

Literal literalRedirect = new Literal
   {
     Text =
        “<script  language=’javascript’>window.location.href=’/';</script>”
   };
Controls.Add(ltrl);

Set-SPUser -Identity ‘Domain\cazcon' -DisplayName ‘Christian Azcon’ –Web http://SharePointServer
Set-SPUser -Identity ‘Domain\cazcon' –Web http://SharePointServer –SyncFromAD

Más info: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff607827.aspx

4-Insufficient SQL database permissions for user ‘Name: SID: ImpersonationLevel: Impersonation’ in database ‘SharePoint_Config’ on SQL Server instance ‘’ The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object ‘xxxx’, database ‘SharePoint_Config’, schema ‘dbo’.

$site = Get-SPSite http://siteCollectionURL
$date = Get-Date “12/09/2012”
#verifica si la fecha es correcta
$date
$site.Audit.TrimAuditLog($date)

Tips/Info #50 Sharepoint 2010

1-Chrome y Sharepoint: no aparecen las barras verticales

Se puede solucionar mediante jquery

<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function() {
{
    $("#s4-workspace").height($(window).height() - $("#s4-ribbonrow").height());
});
</script>

SPList lista = web.Lists.TryGetList("Libreria");
SPFolder folder = lista.ParentWeb.GetFolder(lista.RootFolder.ServerRelativeUrl + "/" + "XXXXX");
if (folder.Exists)
{
  folder.Delete();
}

3-Deshabilitar throttling para una lista específica

$web = Get-SPWeb http://site_url
$list = $web.Lists[“Listas”]
$list.enablethrottling = $false
$list.update()

Get-SPServiceInstance –Server NOMBRE_SERVER | sort TypeName | Format-Table –AutoSize

Error occurred in deployment step 'Activate Features': Cannot start service SPUserCodeV4 on computer 'XXXXXXXX'.

Tips/info #27 Sharepoint 2010

SPList miLista = miSitio.Lists["Libreria"];

miLista .RootFolder.ServerRelativeUrl  //url relativa

miSitio.MakeFullUrl(miLista .RootFolder.ServerRelativeUrl) //url absoluta

string fullDisplayFormUrl = SPUtility.

Failed to retrieve the list schema for feature xxxxxxx, list template xxxxxxx; expected to find it at: ""

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at - Microsoft.SharePoint.Publishing.Internal.WebControls.ObjectSerializer.DeleteAllowed(Boolean checkPermissions)

List does not exist. The page you selected contains a list that does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user.

3-Error: The Taxonomy feature (Feature ID "73EF14B1-13A9-416b-A9B5-ECECA2B0604C") has not been activated.

Enable-SPFeature -identity "73EF14B1-13A9-416b-A9B5-ECECA2B0604C" -url <Your Site URL Here>

4-No cargar archivos debug.js

Ej:

  • cui.debug.js
  • core.debug.js
  • sp.debug.js
  • sp.ribbon.debug.js
  • init.debug.js

    Para ello se deberá cambiar el ScriptMode a Release

    <asp:ScriptManager id="ScriptManager" runat="server" ScriptMode="Release" EnablePageMethods="false" EnablePartialRendering="true" EnableScriptGlobalization="false" EnableScriptLocalization="true" />

    5-Un administrador de site no puede guardar un template de lista

    Esto se debe a que la lista “List Template Gallery” tiene permisos únicos y los cuales no incluyen al usuario actual. (site > site actions > site settings > Galleries > List template gallery )

    6-Ocultar el icono de “Ir hacia arriba/breadcrumb”

    <style>
    .s4-breadcrumb-anchor
    {
    visibility: hidden;
    }
    </style>

    7-Usar web services para obtener datos de una lista de otro sitio

    http://blog.concurrency.com/sharepoint/sharepoint-2010-cross-site-content-rollup-using-sharepoint-designer-2010-and-a-dataview-web-part/

    8-Botón desactivado para activar una sandboxed solutions

    Verifique que el servicio “Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Sandboxed Code Service” esté activado (started).

    También verifique que el “SharePoint 2010 User Code Host” esté iniciado.

    9-“Upload Multiple Documents” deshabilitado o grisado

  • uploaddisabled1

    Tips/Info #23 Sharepoint 2010

    1-Search content sources disponibles para crawl

  • Sitios de Sharepoint
  • Sitios webs
  • Files Shares
  • Carpetas públicas de Exchange
  • Línea de datos de  negocio
  • Repositorio Custom

    2-Error al borrar una solución sandbox

    Si tienes el error: "Unable to access web scoped feature Id: GUID because it references a non-existent or broken web..."

  • 6038.image_thumb_04B1D8DE

    $hour = "22"

    $minute = "30"

    #la ventana horario, de 0 a 24

    $duration = "16"

    Get-SPWebApplication | % { $_.UnthrottledPrivilegedOperationWindowEnabled = $true; $_.SetDailyUnthrottledPrivilegedOperationWindow($hour, $minute, $duration); $_.Update() }

    4-Ocultar/Mostrar una columna en los formularios New/Edit usando powershell

    $webUrl = Get-SPWeb http://spssite

    $listName = $web.Lists["Tasks"]

    $columnName = $list.Fields["date"]

    Si deseas ocultar la columna en Edit Form entonces usa:

    $columnName.ShowInEditForm = $false

    Si deseas mostrar la columna en New Form entonces usa:

    $columnName.ShowInNewForm=$false

    $columnName.Update()

    $listName.Update()

    $webUrl.Dispose()

    5-Habilitar la búsqueda de contenttypes en el search de Sharepoint 2010

    Set-SPEnterpriseSearchMetadataManagedProperty -Identity ContentType -SearchApplication "Search Service Application" -EnabledForScoping $true
    contenttype
    6-Habilitar Document Conversion

    En el Central Administration se debe activar los siguientes servicios:

    • Document Conversions Load Balancer Service: gestiona la disponibilidad de los convertidores de documentos y tiene que ponerse en marcha en primer lugar.
    • Document Conversions Launcher Service: pone en marcha la conversión de documentos en unservidor de aplicaciones.

    7-Excluir carpetas del antivirus

    • %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office Servers\14.0\Data
    • %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office Servers\14.0\Logs
    • %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office Servers\14.0\Bin
    • %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office Servers\14.0\Synchronization Service
    • %ProgramFiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions
    • %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.xxxx\Temporary ASP.NET Files
    • %systemroot%\system32\inetsrv

    Algunos archivos que no se deberían analizar:

    w3wp.exe, owstimer.exe, mssearch.exe, inetinfo.exe.

    En los servidores SQL, no se deberían escanear los archivos .mdf y ldf

    8-Test-SPContentDatabase

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff607941.aspx

    Verifica por lo siguiente:

    • Faltan WebTemplates
    • Faltan features
    • Orphaned sites
    • Falta setup files
    • Faltan Webparts
    • Faltan Event reveiver assemblies

    9-Error: An error occurred during the processing of xxxxx. Code blocks are not allowed in this file.

    Sharepoint no permite código de servidor (runat=”server”) que se ejecute en la página indicada. Para que pueda ejecutarlo, debe editar el web.config

    <PageParserPaths>
    <!—Se permite a un sólo archivo -->
    <PageParserPath VirtualPath="/mi pagina.aspx" CompilationMode="Always"AllowServerSideScript="true" />
    <!—Se permite de forma global: -->
    <PageParserPath VirtualPath="/*" CompilationMode="Always" AllowServerSideScript="true" />
    <!—Se permite de forma global  dentro de un subsite -->
    <PageParserPath VirtualPath="/misitio/*" CompilationMode="Always"AllowServerSideScript="true" />
    </PageParserPaths>

    En VirtualPath definimos en cual directorio queremos habilitar la propiedad que las páginas puedan interpretar código.

    Tips #3–Sharepoint 2010

    1-Determinar si tu aplicación está ejecutando en un proceso sandboxed

       1:  if(System.AppDomain.CurrentDomain.FriendlyName.Contains("Sandbox"))
       2:  {
       3: // Your code is running in the sandbox.
       4:  }

    2-Extensión de Visual Studio para Visual Web Part para un sandboxed solution e informe sobre métodos no permitidos en una sandboxed solution (Visual Studio 2010 Sharepoint Power Tools)

    http://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/8e602a8c-6714-4549-9e95-f3700344b0d9/

    3-Obtener el usuario actual de la request Sharepoint 2010

    Hay varios métodos, pueden variar dependiendo si está ejecutando la solución o debuggeando.

       1:  System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent().Name // returns MY_COMPUTER\\my_user
       2:
       3:  HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name // returns MY_COMPUTER\\my_user
       4:
       5:  HttpContext.Current.Request.ServerVariables["AUTH_USER"] // returns MY_COMPUTER\\my_user
       6:
       7:  Microsoft.SharePoint.SPContext.Current.Web.CurrentUser.LoginName // returns SHAREPOINT\\system

    Si desea obtener el usuario real logueado, ejecute el siguiente código:

       1:  SPWeb site = SPContext.Current.Web;
       2:  SPSecurity.RunWithElevatedPrivileges(delegate()
       3:  {
       4:      using (SPSite ElevatedsiteColl = new SPSite(siteColl.ID))
       5:     {
       6:         using (SPWeb ElevatedSite = ElevatedsiteColl.OpenWeb(site.ID))
       7:         {
       8:              string currUser = site.CurrentUser; //not the ElevatedSite.CurrentUser
       9:         }
      10:     }
      11:  });

    4-Función de failed en javascript cuando se usa Sharepoint Client Object Model

       1:  function OnItemQueryFailed(sender, args)
       2:  {
       3:     alert('Error:\n' + args.get_message() + '\n' + args.get_stackTrace());
       4:  }
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee551330.aspx

    5-Hacer un IISReset cuando se provisiona un servicio User Profile Service Application

    Más info: http://www.petestilgoe.com/2012/02/sp2010-an-error-has-occurred-while-accessing-the-sql-server-database-or-the-sharepoint-server-search-service/

    6-Sharepoint no encuentra un usuario recién creado en el AD

    Para solucionar este problema, debe hacer una sincronización incremental del servicio User Profile Service Application.

    SharePoint SandBox Solution Execution process

    Sandbox Solutions  ==  user solutions

    It  is a new feature introduced in SharePoint 2010

    Sandbox is a secured wrapper and it has restrictions on code to run in SharePoint environment

    Sandbox solution assembly (dll) will be deployed to content database

    farm solution assembly (dll) will be deployed(Assembly target type) to GAC (Assemblies run with full trust by default. They are globally installed, so they will work in any Web application)  or Web Application (bin – cas policies , tends to available in only one web app)

    Physical location of GAC files  click  Start | Run and type in “c:\windows\assembly\

    SandBox Sol can access  only data within site collection

    • Can be uploaded by site collection administration, so no need of farm administrator to install the solution and they can view the resource utilization of each solution and can block if it consumes too much resources. Usually when sites working slow, developers complain the server is slow whereas site/server administrators blame on Develepor code/solutions.
    • Technically speaking SharePoint solutions run in seperate worker processes and not in w3wp.exe. So It doesn’t require IIS Reset or Application Pool Recycling. Without disturbing the SharePoint site, Sandbox solutions can be deployed. Only thing while deploying new version of Sandbox solution over existing solution, SharePoint will display No Solution found error in Sandbox Webparts on the page. However within seconds sandbox solutions getting deployed and it’ll start working.

    Display the sandboxed solutions service configuration settings

    You can use this procedure to display the tiers that have been configured for the sandboxed solutions service and to display the worker processes, application domains and other properties that are currently configured for each tier. You can append this script to the script in the previous procedure, or you can use it as a stand-alone script.

    #Loop through and show the user what exactly has been created

    $uc=[Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPUserCodeService]::Local

    Write-Host "The following tiers have been created"
    Write-Host "***********************************************************"

    foreach($tier in $uc.Tiers)
    {      Write-Host "Tier Name: $($tier.Name)"      Write-Host "Tier MaximumWorkerProcess: $($tier.MaximumWorkerProcesses)"      Write-Host "Tier MaximumConnectionsPerProcess: $($tier.MaximumConnectionsPerProcess)"      Write-Host "Tier MaximumAppDomainsPerProcess: $($tier.MaximumAppDomainsPerProcess)"
    Write-Host "Tier PriorityPerProcess: $($tier.PriorityPerProcess)"      Write-Host "Tier ResourceMaxValue: $($tier.ResourceMaxValue)"      Write-Host "***********************************************************"
    }

    Solutions Sandbox – Limitaciones

    Hasta el día de hoy, estas son algunas limitaciones de las soluciones sandboxed. Con la nueva versión de Visual Studio se eliminarán algunas de estas limitaciones: http://todosharepoint.blogspot.com/2012/01/what-new-sharepoint-development-in.html
    • Can’t deploy files to disk or deploy assemblies to GAC. Can you imagine how limiting this can be? Think workflows.
    • Cannot access the cache object from a sandboxed web part.
    • Cannot access the ScriptManager from a sandboxed web part.
    • Sandbox does not support re-direction – no Response.Redirect, no Server.Transfer,  no SPUtility.Redirect.
    • Can’t access SharePoint.WebControls: you can't create a Web Part that uses any of the built in controls which you can use in SharePoint Designer!

    What's New SharePoint Development in Visual Studio 11 Developer Preview

    The SharePoint developer tools in Visual Studio 11 Developer Preview contain new designers and templates to facilitate SharePoint development, as well as new options for deploying and testing SharePoint sites. See the following descriptions to learn about these and other new features.

    This topic contains the following sections.

    • Create Lists and Content Types by Using New Designers
    • Create Site Columns
    • Create Silverlight Web Parts
    • Publish SharePoint Solutions to Remote SharePoint Servers
    • Test SharePoint Performance by Using Profiling Tools
    • Create Sandboxed Visual Web Parts
    • Improved Support for Sandboxed Solutions.
    • Support for JavaScript Debugging and IntelliSense for JavaScript
    • Streamlined SharePoint Project Templates

    Web Application Scoped Resources

    When you try to deploy a solution without Web Application Scoped Resources, you will get the following errors:

    The solution contains no Web application scoped resource, and therefore cannot be deployed to a particular Web application. It can only be deployed globally.

    If you like to deploy the solution to a web application, you need to set the Assembly Deployment Target to WebApplication instead of GlobalAssemblyCache. You can download a deployment script here.
