Instalar el acumulativo de junio (2014) de Office Web Apps 2013 SP1 (patching)

Voy a explicar como instalar el acumulativo de junio 2014 de Office Web Apps 2013 con SP1 incluído.

En el caso que tengas problemas para ejecutar los comandos de powershell puedes importar el módulo de Office Web Apps: Import-Module OfficeWebApps

• Primero exporto la configuración de la granja de Office Web Apps 2013

Get-OfficeWebAppsFarm >C:\WACConfiguration.txt

• Remuevo la máquina de la granja

Remove-OfficeWebAppsMachine

• Instalo el acumulativo junio 2014

A continuación REINICIO EL SERVIDOR.

• Una vez que se reinicio ejecuto de nuevo el comando de New-OfficeWebAppsFarm con las opciones iniciales que habias utilizado previamente para instalar el servidor de WAC.

Ej: New-OfficeWebAppsFarm –InternalUrl "http://officewebapps.net" -ExternalUrl "http://officewebapps.net" -EditingEnabled –AllowHttp

• Después verifico las configuraciones que exporte en el punto 1.C:\WACConfiguration.txt
• Verifico status de la granja

Get-OfficeWebAppsFarm
(Get-OfficeWebAppsFarm).Machines

También verifico el estado de los servicios webs (cambia el dns por el de tu servidor)

Invoke-WebRequest http://officewebapps.com/m/met/participant.svc/jsonAnonymous/BroadcastPing

También verifico el event viewer (Microsoft Office Web Apps)

Si por algún motivo el comando (Get-OfficeWebAppsFarm).Machines, lanza que el servidor está como “Unhealthy”, puedes revisar el post de http://www.wictorwilen.se/office-web-apps-server-2013---machines-are-always-reported-as-unhealthy para revisar el estado de tu granja.

• Verifico la versión de la granja

Abro una consola de powershell y ejecuto lo siguiente (recuerda cambiar el dns de tu servidor)

(Invoke-WebRequest -Uri http://officewebapps.com/p/ppt/view.svc/jsonAnonymous/GetSlide -Method POST).Headers["X-OfficeVersion"]

Esa consulta debería retorna 15.0.4623.1001

También se puede obtener ejecutando lo siguiente:

get-content C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\OfficeWebApps\Data\local\OfficeVersion.inc

• Verifico el status de la conexión de Sharepoint con la granja de Office Web Apps

Get-SPWopiZone

Get-SPWOPISuppressionSetting

Get-SPWOPIBinding

Cómo instalar el acumulativo de Junio de 2014 de Sharepoint

Voy a hacer un step by step para instalar el acumulativo de Sharepoint 2013 de junio de 2014: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2881061 (15.0.4623.1001)

Primero, deberemos tener Sharepoint 2013 con SP1 o tener el acumulativo de Marzo instalado en nuestro ambiente. Para descargarlo puedes hacerlo desde el siguiente link: http://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBHotfix.aspx?kbnum=2881061

Selecciono los tres hotfix.

Detener los siguientes servicios de Windows en cada servidor (si estás en un ambiente de alta disponibilidad, alcanza con detenerlos en el server donde estás instalado). De todos modos puedes instalar el CU con todos los servicios prendidos, pero tardará entre 3 a 5 horas dependiendo tu hardware.

Forefront Identity Manager Service

SharePoint Search Host Controller

SharePoint Timer Service

SharePoint Tracing Service

SharePoint User Code Host

SharePoint VSS Writer

A continuación verifico que los tres hotfix estén en el mismo folder

Ejecuto ubersrv.exe como administrador

te va a preguntar detener unos servicios, selecciona que quieres detenerlos. A continuación espera hasta que finalice la instalación

A continuación se recomienda reiniciar el servidor, y lanzar “Sharepoint Configuration Wizard”

Una vez ejecutado el Configuration Wizard hago un iisreset o reinicio de nuevo el servidor.Reviso la versión de la base de configuration

Y que todos los servers aparezcan con Status “No Action Required”

Sharepoint 2013 CU Junio 2013

Tratando de instalar el CU de Junio de Sharepoint 2013, al ejecutar psconfig para finalizar la instalación, me lanzaba el error que faltaban features (relacionadas al CU de junio) instalar en un par de servers, pero ya se había instalado el CU y se había reiniciado los servers.

Error: Missing on “Server”

Error: Some farm products and patches were not detected on this or other servers. If products or patches are missing locally, you must quit this program and install the required products and patches on this server before restarting this wizard.

Entonces lo que hice es ejecutar el siguiente comando

Get-SPProduct –local

Este comando refresca la información de hotfix instalados en el servidor local en la base de configuración. Una vez realizado la ejecución de este comando en cada servidor, actualizo (Refresh) el configuration wizard.

 

Para saber que Software falta instalar puede ejecutar el siguiente comando:

$spprod = Get-SPProduct
$spprod.Servers | select ServerName, Products, InstallStatus
$spprod.Servers | ? { $_.InstallStatus -eq "InstallRequired" } | % { $_.RequiredButMissingPatches }

Status Message	Description
No action required	Upgrade is complete on the database.
Upgrade in progress	Self-explanatory. This message will change once the database is upgraded.
Database is too old and upgrade is required	The database is outside of compatibility range and must be upgraded.
Database is in compatibility range and upgrade is recommended	The database is running within compatibility range, but can be upgraded.
Database is up to date, but some sites are not completely upgraded.	The schema of the database was successfully upgraded, however some children (site collections) within the database have failed to be completely upgraded within this content database.
Database is too new and is not supported	The database is outside of compatibility range and cannot be used by the farm because it is at a higher version level than the farm supports. Note, this shouldn’t occur for connected databases but can be reported when attempting to attach a database.

Installed	Shown to indicate that no action is required.
Missing/Required	Shown if a product is required on each server or if a patch for a given MSI is on one server but not the one this status is shown for.
Missing/Optional	Shown if a product is not required on each server.
Superseded	Shown if a patch is no longer required on a server because a newer patch supersedes it.

En el caso que necesites upgrade las bases de contenido, puedes ejecutar el siguiente script

Get-SPContentDatabase | select Name, NeedsUpgrade

 

Status Message	Description

En el caso que hayas instalado todo el SW requerido, y te siga apareciendo el mensaje de error de “Missing on”, puedes ejecutar PSConfig  con el parámetro “-noinstallcheck”, este ignora la verificación del patch en los servers.

PSConfig.exe -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -force -cmd applicationcontent -install -cmd installfeatures -installcheck -noinstallcheck.

2-SQL Collation para Sharepoint 2010

La recomendada es Latin1_General_CI_AS_KS_WS

CI – (Case Insensitive) A y a son tratados como el mismo caracter.
AS – (Accent Sensitive) a y á NO son tratados como el mismo caracter.
KS – (Kana Sensitive) Japanese Hirakana y Katakana caracteres que parecen iguales no son tratados como el mismo caracter.
WS – (Width Sensitive) Single-Byte Y Double-Byte versions del mismo caracter no son tratados como el mismo caracter.

Este collation asegura consistencia única con el SO:

Este error ocurre al abrir un excel de forma online (Office Web Apps)
